Portraits for Peace

صور من أجل السلام

 Salam alaikum!
A celebration of peace inspired by the Palestinian plight, this project features 50 portraits of individuals based in Te Tau Ihu Aotearoa but who originate from over 30 countries, expressing messages of peace, unity and hope in their own languages.
This project aims to spread positivity and express solidarity with the Palestinian community and all those affected by conflict. We want them to feel heard and for us to appreciate the safety we enjoy in Aotearoa and to connect more deeply with the realities faced by others. Through cultural diversity, each photograph expresses the universal desire for harmony.
Nationalities represented include Brazilian, Israeli, Tongan, Somali, Chilean, Scottish, Pakistani, Omani, Afghan, Uruguayan, Swiss, Palestinian, Irish, New Zealand/Māori, Jordanian, English, German, Peruvian, Indian, North American, French, Belgian, Czech, Bhutanese, Burmese, Nepali, Colombian, Argentinian, and Greek.
